Just three and one half years following its debut on the international market, Anahita World Class Sanctuary, launched by CIEL Properties and one of Mauritius’ most ambitious IRS projects, is progressively pursuing its development on the east coast of the island. Of the inventory which has been released for sale, 94% of the residences have been sold to date, of which almost half have been handed over to homeowners. Inaugurated last October, Anahita World Class Sanctuary has succeeded in bringing to life one of the most sought-after residential domains in the world. Real estate professionals affiliated with the African Property Awards in association with CNBC and the International Property Awards, have designated it Best Development (2006 and 2008) and Best Golf Development (2008).
First launched in January 2006, Anahita, together with Tamarina, is one of the pioneers of IRS development in Mauritius. Its masterplan, when complete, will be comprised of more than 300 villas, a signature Four Seasons Resort Hotel, a spectacular 18-hole 72-par golf course designed by South African golf champion, Ernie Els, and an integrated village at the centre of the sanctuary; making Anahita an ambitious project even on international terms. Of the 155 residences and apartments which have been made available to prospective buyers, 94% have been sold to date. These include l’Adamante, 70 waterfront apartment residences, which have been delivered to proprietors since its sell-out in June 2006. Owners of Four Seasons Private Residences have also been taking up residence in their homes, 45 of which have been made available for purchase. Only four of these villas remain to be sold to discerning buyers. As for the 28 villas at Lunea, which boast views along golf holes #10, 16, 17 and 18, just 6 villas remain. Sherri Motazed, Senior Director of Playground Mauritius, the firm responsible for sales and marketing of Anahita, says that « the sales results that have been achieved are more than satisfactory. The 145 solid purchases which have materialised are the result of the strong demand which Anahita has elicited from the market since the very beginning of its launch. Although the international market is currently experiencing difficulties, we are confident that the quality of the project and the reliability of the developer will continue to generate robust interest from our markets. » Playground’s objective is first and foremost to focus on selling the remaining ten residences. Plans will be established for sales of the additional 160 villas, forecasted for 2014.
Homeowners have been provided with all the necessities to ensure their comfort and satisfaction is fulfilled. Anahita World Class Sanctuary offers a multitude of services to homeowners and guests alike, giving it an appeal which is the envy of traditional hotel establishments. In addition to its world-class golf course, residents may enjoy the Wellbeing spa, a gourmet restaurant, café and beach bar, a fine selection of boutiques, an incredible infinity pool and fitness centre, tennis courts and kids club. Lovers of water sports are well catered for and indulge in a number of different activities from kite surfing, water skiing and sailing to deep sea fishing and diving. Anahita benefits from an exceptional setting which stretches along six kilometres of shoreline and overlooks the largest lagoon on Mauritius as well as the magnificent Bamboo mountain range to the west. Following the handover of l’Adamante residences in 2008, those of Lunea and Four Seasons Private Residences were delivered starting late last year, with completion planned during 2009.
Owners of Anahita homes not only benefit from the unique lifestyle at Anahita; they also enjoy an attractive return on investment. The « Rental Pool » agreement allows proprietors to let their villas while away from Mauritius and, subsequently, realise a return from these rentals. Through its variety of services, Anahita World Class Sanctuary provides homeowners with the dual benefits of a choice lifestyle and qualitative investment. For the visitor or tourist, Anahita offers services and activities found in the finest Mauritian hotels along with the freedom and privileges one has when staying in a private bungalow: an ideal concept for families and groups.
Another imperative of the Anahita concept is that the project is integrated with the surrounding environment and Mauritius as a whole. Inhabitants of the neighbouring villages in the south east region of Mauritius are given priority in employment opportunities and training programmes offered by the Anahita Centre for Excellence (ACE). Furthermore, Anahita has opened its doors to the Mauritian market, who is invited to enjoy its offerings, whether they be spending an indulgent weekend in a residence or a day filled with activities, dining in its restaurants or taking in a round of golf. Many have pleasurably experienced Anahita life already.
« Anahita has succeeded in assembling around this project the finest architects, interior designers and decorators, constructors, landscape architects, engineers and golf course designers. The capacity to bring excellence into each step of the development has been the driving force from the onset of the project. Today, it is with great pride that Anahita presents this formidable domain, an accomplishment which is evident when visiting the village centre at La Place Belgath, the immaculate green fairways of Four Seasons Golf Club or the pristine sands of the main beach. Everywhere one looks, one is inspired by the elegance, the refinement and the natural beauty » concludes Sherri Motazed.
